Tugboats sprayed water in the air to welcome the Oasis of the Seas into Port Lauderdale at around 8am Nov 13th 2009.
The Oasis of the Seas is the Royal Caribbean International's most recent and largest ship.
Weighing in at a mere 225,282 gross registered tonnes, the largest cruise ship in the world spans 16 decks, can carry 5,400 guests and features 2,700 staterooms. The Oasis of the Seas features a concept of seven differently themed areas includes Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone.
The new ship will also feature 12,175 plants, 62 vines, and 56 trees placed around the ship, so if you're a budding plant water'er this could be the job opportunity of a lifetime :)
